These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of DocScanner (the "App"), published on Google Play by Recreation Technologies ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
DocScanner lets you scan, edit, merge, split, watermark, compress, sign, and organize documents directly on your device. Most features work entirely on-device; some optional features (Google Drive backup, ads, crash reporting) rely on third-party services described in our Privacy Policy.
You retain full ownership of the documents, scans, and signatures you create in the App. We do not access, view, or claim any rights over your documents — they are stored locally on your device, or in your own Google Drive if you enable the optional backup feature.
The eSign feature lets you draw and place a signature image onto a document within the App for your own convenience. It is provided as a general-purpose tool and is not a certified or legally audited e-signature service. You are responsible for determining whether an electronic signature created this way is appropriate and legally valid for your particular use case and jurisdiction.
The App may display ads served by Google AdMob and may offer the option to temporarily remove ads by watching a rewarded ad, as described in our Privacy Policy. The App does not currently charge for downloads or subscriptions.
Optional features rely on third-party services, including Google Sign-In, Google Drive, Firebase Crashlytics, and Google AdMob. Your use of those features is also subject to the relevant third party's own terms and privacy policy.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that scanned/OCR output will always be accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Recreation Technologies shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or documents, arising out of or related to your use of the App.
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the most recent revision.
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time, for any reason.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the developer's place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by applicable local law.
