Delete Your Account & Data
Last updated: July 29, 2026
DocScanner has no developer-operated server or account system. There is no "DocScanner
account" to delete — sign-in is only used to optionally back up your documents to
your own Google Drive. Everything below can be done entirely by you, with no
need to contact us.
1. Delete your documents stored on this device
- Uninstall the app — this permanently deletes all locally stored documents, Safe Box
contents, and app settings.
- Or, without uninstalling: go to Android Settings → Apps → DocScanner → Storage →
Clear storage to wipe all local app data while keeping the app installed.
2. Delete documents backed up to your Google Drive
If you enabled the optional Google Drive backup feature, your documents were uploaded to a
folder named "DocScanner" inside your own Google Drive — not to any server we
operate. To remove them:
- Open drive.google.com
and sign in with the same Google account you used in the app.
- Find and open the "DocScanner" folder.
- Select all files/folders inside it and delete them (then empty your Drive trash to remove
them permanently).
3. Revoke DocScanner's access to your Google account
This stops the app from being able to access your Drive at all, on any device:
- Go to
myaccount.google.com/permissions (Google Account → Security → Third-party apps with
account access).
- Find DocScanner in the list and select Remove access.
